Dr. David Fishkin

DC, MPH

Dr. David B. Fishkin, D.C., MPH integrates chiropractic medicine with physical therapy rehabilitation and is a recognized leader in dry needling education and clinical application. Beginning in 1999, he conducted extensive research into dry needling, drawing on decades of scientific literature and empirical data to develop a refined technical framework now known as the Fishkin Dry Needling Technique.

Dr. Fishkin’s approach is evidence-based, clinically efficient, and designed to be more comfortable and effective for patients. His work is informed not only by research and clinical outcomes, but also by personal experience as a patient, having undergone nearly every form of back treatment short of surgery. Dry needling has played a key role in maintaining his own health as well as that of his patients.

An advocate for professional advancement, Dr. Fishkin was instrumental in expanding the scope of practice for dry needling within chiropractic care in Maryland and has advised state professional organizations and regulatory agencies nationwide. He is committed to increasing access to dry needling as a safe, effective alternative that can reduce reliance on addictive medications.

Dr. Fishkin trains healthcare providers across multiple disciplines, including chiropractors, physical and occupational therapists, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, athletic trainers, and acupuncturists. He has trained clinical faculty at National University of Health Sciences and has provided dry needling education to U.S. military healthcare personnel.
